It is time we evaluate ourselves!

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatULLAHI wa barakatuHU dear all,
Let us try attempt to translate and do the tarkeeb of some great sayings of our pious predecessors here under this thread!

Below is a qawl of Hasan Basri (RahimahULLAHU Ta'la):
دﺧﻞ ﺭﺟﻞ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻹﻣﺎﻡ ﺍﻟﺤﺴﻦ ﺍﻟﺒﺼﺮﻱ
ﻓﻘﺎﻝ: ﻳﺎ ﺇﻣﺎﻡ ﺇﻥ ﺍﻟﺴﻤﺎﺀ ﻻ ﺗﻤﻄﺮ؟
ﻓﻘﺎﻝ: ﺍﺳﺘﻐﻔﺮ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ،

P.S. I am not posting the entire saying here at the moment. I think it would be better if we take small steps ahead and benefit from them as much as we can before taking a giant leap inshaAllah!

دﺧﻞ ﺭﺟﻞ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻹﻣﺎﻡ ﺍﻟﺤﺴﻦ ﺍﻟﺒﺼﺮﻱ.1
( Came/a man/ upon/ the Imam Al-Hasan Al-Basri)

ﻓﻘﺎﻝ: ﻳﺎ ﺇﻣﺎﻡ ﺇﻥ ﺍﻟﺴﻤﺎﺀ ﻻ ﺗﻤﻄﺮ؟.2
(Then/he said/ O Imam/Verily/The sky/does not rain)

ﻓﻘﺎﻝ: ﺍﺳﺘﻐﻔﺮ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ.3،
(So/he said/ Seek Allah's forgiveness)

A man came upon Imam Hasan Basri RahimahULLAHU Ta'ala and the former said to the latter: O Imam, the sky is not raining!
So Imam Hasan Basri advised him to seek forgiveness from Allah Ta'ala.


And Allah Ta'ala Knows Best!
